Advancements in orthopedic technology have made leaps and bounds in the past decade. This is mostly thanks to the improvements in computer technology, which allows doctors and manufacturers to construct more precise and specific bone products, such as titanium bone plates, and reduce the amount of damage done during surgery procedures. Nobody likes breaking or damaging their bones, but it's nice to know that the healing process is much better than it was just a few years ago. Here are some of the key advancements that make our trip to the doctor easier.

• There are a great deal of chemical products that when injected in the bone marrow or surrounding damaged areas will help speed up the recovery process. This not only get's patients out of their casts faster, it reduces the risk of bone deformities and infection.
• Many orthopedic manufacturers make their products with CNC precision milling, which allows them to make products specific to the patient. Bone products then fit the patient exactly and allows a more natural recovery process.
• Faster and easier communication in the medical industry allows for medical products and services to be transported faster and more efficiently. Advances in communication software and other services have helped speed up complicated and confusing processes and reduce the amount of stress doctors have on the job.
